I got this fantastic Tardis fabric from Spoonflower a few days ago at the request of a customer. Look how pretty it is on the floral swirl background!
I’ve just made these beautiful pouches from my own handwoven fabric.
And a couple of new bags in the shop as well, I had fun with some contrasting color stripes on the outside. I love what it adds to the already gorgeous fabrics.
I just finished 2 sizes of bags for the shop in this gorgeous new Dr. Who print from Spoonflower. Look at the lovely Cyberman, Daleks and more in pastoral toile!!
I’m just about finished sewing a new dress to wear for Zach & Ashton’s wedding on Saturday. I need to finish it tonight or I’ll risk showing up without a hem.
The dress was inspired by the most fabulous pair of Fluevogs I got awhile ago. I NEEDED to wear them to the wedding but it was too hard to find something commercially made that matched. Plus, I like to make my own dresses!
The pattern is “Cambie” by Sewaholic and I really like how it fits. This pattern is very well done and I really like how the pieces go together at the back and sleeves. I will be making more of this, it’s rare that a pattern fits so well right out of the package for me so that’s pretty exciting.
The shoes are Fluevog Mini Elif. Super comfortable, they do run a bit large so I went down a size in these.
The fabric came from my favorite local fabric store, Bolt, and it is a Michael Miller print called “Mini Mikes”, the green is a cotton voile that I used for the lining and will make a cute underskirt and possibly a cummerbund style belt as well.
I’m excited to wear it, it’s supposed to be 99 on Saturday and the wedding is going to be outside. Hopefully I’ll get some pictures before I melt in it!
